Just mentioning Jewish entrepreneurs, who arrived from Westphalia and Bavaria during Gold Rush of 1849, brings to memory such San Francisco landmarks as Cliff House and Sutro Baths built by second Jewish city mayor Adolf Sutro, silver mining tycoon. Everyone knows that jeans were patented in San Francisco by Levy Strauss, but very few know that pavilion THE LAND’S END was built by his descendant Richard Goldman. We will walk on the land of Adolf Sutro’s mansion (now Golden Gate Recreational area), talk about famous Jewish immigrants of XIX century and enjoy the fantastic view from The Land’s End. In the end of the tour we will have cup of coffee in the Cliff House bar.
